CTEC just got a lot more hands-on

Students with big check

North East ISD received a $45,448 grant today to help further the education of our students in the Transportation Technology Academy at our Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC).

The grant helps us purchase tire-balancing equipment for our automotive classes. Our partnership with St. Philip’s College and the Texas Workforce Commission makes this possible.

“Grants like this help us continue to train students in skills needed in high-paying, in-demand careers,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sean Maika.

CTEC students get real, hands-on learning in medical professions, transportation technology and construction while still attending classes at their home campuses. Skills learned at CTEC give our students a head start in in-demand careers and help them truly find their passions.
