MAC UP is a unique, cost-saving option for students interested in becoming educators. Thanks to North East ISD’s partnership with the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA), our students can graduate with 50+ college credit hours, save up to 93% of college tuition costs through dual enrollment courses and get free transportation between MacArthur and the UTSA campus.
MacArthur High School Junior Eric Moreno joined Mac UP during his freshman year. He wanted to take advantage of the UTSA partnership and get college credit in high school.
“I feel like being here is a privilege,” said Moreno. “The teachers and the staff are really helping me and guiding me. The classes we take at UTSA are a great benefit. Plus, helping students is really cool. It’s cool to see them start to understand new things.”
