The Building Trades Branch is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all District owned building structural systems.
These "structural" systems include:
- Interior and exterior wall systems
- Doors & hardware
- Carpet & tile
- Windows
- Lockers
- Masonry
- Metal work
- Ceiling system
- Cabinets and shelving
- Interior and exterior painting
- Parking lot stripping and marking
- Metal or wooden handrails and ramps
- Leveling of portable buildings and classroom instructional tools such as chalk and dry erase boards
- Locks and Keys
In addition to the normal day to day operations, personnel from the Building Trades Branch are always available to respond to emergencies after normal business hours. When damage to our facilities occurs due to vandalism or the image of our facilities has been tarnished due to graffiti, our carpenters and painters are just a phone call away to provide temporary physical security (replace broken windows) or to remove unsightly graffiti.
