North East ISD’s Executive Director of School Nutrition Services is now the President of the Texas Association for School Nutrition (TASN). She was elected to the position by her peers. Sharon played an integral role in the past year making sure children were fed, despite school closures and remote learning.
TASN provides resources that enhance and promote non-profit child nutrition programs for the benefit of school children across the state.
Her NEISD team served more than 2 million curbside meals during the pandemic and continues to develop ways to make sure children have healthy, nutritious meals despite so many obstacles. Congratulations Sharon!
