Next week, we have an opportunity to say thank you to the people we could not do this without – our teachers.
Many of you have shared with me the positive impact our educators have had on your children and family. They work hard and they always find a way to set our students up for success in and out of the classroom. Even if that means showing up early or staying late.
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. When you can, please take a moment to thank your child’s teachers. Our schools – and our community – are a better place because of them.
To all of our teachers, thank you for your dedication, professionalism and compassion.
Don’t forget, Monday is the deadline to submit a nomination form for our Wall of Heroes.
If you know someone with strong ties to NEISD and a history of serving our schools and community, please take a moment to fill out and submit a nomination form by Monday, May 1st. Once nominations are submitted, a committee may select up to two names that will go to our Board of Trustees for approval.

Tomorrow is a student and staff holiday. If you’re planning to attend any Fiesta parades or events, be on the lookout for the incredible bands, spirit groups and students representing NEISD.

Muchos de ustedes han compartido conmigo el impacto positivo que nuestros educadores han tenido en sus hijos y su familia. Trabajan duro y siempre encuentran una manera de preparar a nuestros estudiantes para el éxito dentro y fuera del aula. Incluso si eso significa llegar temprano o quedarse hasta tarde.
Esta semana es la semana de agradecimiento a los maestros. Cuando pueda, tómese un momento para agradecer a los maestros de su hijo. Nuestras escuelas, y nuestra comunidad, son un lugar mejor gracias a ellas.
