Amanda works with our after-school program at Wilderness Oak Elementary School. On one particular day earlier this year, she was monitoring her students during snack time. She noticed one of them was choking on her food. She took swift action, went directly to the student and performed the Heimlich Maneuver. Thanks to her efforts, the food was dislodged and the student was okay. Her watchful eye and fast actions prevented a tragedy from happening. She is a great example of the skilled and professional staff we have at each of our campuses.
