Marc, Ryan and Luke are students in our NETS program, where students between the ages of 18-21 are working toward becoming contributing members of the community through employment, education, training and independent life skills. This year, they started working in the School Nutrition warehouse to pull food and supply orders to be delivered to the school cafeterias across the District. It’s the first time we’ve had NETS students do this. The warehouse was struggling to keep up with the volume of orders because of a large number of job vacancies. Their help has allowed District drivers to focus on delivering the products to schools, and the experience has given the student great job training.
