Ms. Amy Calvet

Welcome!  This is my 8th year teaching in NEISD.  I am teaching 7th grade Science and coaching 8th grade volleyball, 7th grade basketball, and track.

I am passionate about teaching, I have known since the third grade that I wanted to be a teacher.  I am a graduate of MacArthur High School in NEISD, and I grew up attending Redland Oaks Elementary and Driscoll Middle School.  I am a proud product of NEISD, and am absolutely thrilled to be back in the best district in Texas!

I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio to get my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on 4-8 Math and Science.  I am certified to teach both math and science, and I love each one!  I look forward to another amazing year here at Driscoll and working with your students every day.

  • Tutoring will look a bit different this year.  I will be available online for tutoring before school from 7:30-8:15 on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  There will also be tutoring available after classes during asynchronous time, from 1:55-2:50.  Both morning and afternoon tutoring times will be accessible to all students.  To join my Zoom tutoring time, please go to your Science Google Classroom.  Click on the Classwork tab.  The first folder says Resources.  The link that says "Ms. Calvet's Office Hours" will be my tutoring Zoom.

Because of coaching, I will be having practice after school most days from 3:00-5:00.  During this time I will not be online to help students.  However, I do check my phone regularly for email.  Students may email me any time they need help, and I will respond as quickly as possible with directions or guidance.
