Mr. Burkhardt

Hello!

My name is Mr. Burkhardt and I teach 6th Grade World Cultures and 7th Grade Texas History. 

This is my second year in the North East Independent School District and my fourteenth year of teaching. I am a graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio and have lived in San Antonio most of my life. I am excited about teaching at NEISD, as I attended elementary through high school within the district. 

My wife Susie and I have been married for twenty-five years and have a daughter (Kelli) and three granddaughters (Lilli, Everly, and Paisley). When I am not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy fishing in the surf of Padre Island National Seashore, camping on the beach or in the Texas Hill Country, and spending time with my family. 

In the classroom, I enjoy teaching my students about the world around them and how it will affect them throughout their lives. 

I am looking forward to a successful 2024-25 school year at Driscoll and am honored to teach your children!
