Mr. Ruben Besa

Ruben Besa grew up in Eagle Pass, Texas. Proud alumna of Eagle Pass Junior High and Eagle Pass High School where he participated in football and basketball throughout his sports career. Following in his fathers footsteps he pursued a career as a coach and a educator. He went on to Texas Lutheran University and earned himself a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in History. Ruben also worked for one of San Antonio's most presitgious coaches in Carl Gustafson for the football team at college. Who he considers one of the men who saved his love for the game. Learning under some of the greatest mentors the coaching ame could have provided he credits any knowledge or success he has had with sports to the men he worked for at college, his uncle, and his father. 

Now teaching seventh grade Texas History and coaching three sports for North East, coach Besa is excited to be getting to fullfill one of the many milestones he has pursued over his life. He believes teaching and coaching is the most, if not one of the most rewarding ways to go to work in the morning. Getting a chance to build kids up, help them acheive their goals, and most of all become better citizens in the community.
