Sonido

Sonido is a high energy percussion ensemble from Roan Forest Elementary. Established in 2015, Sonido has evolved quite a bit through the years. Sonido performs the songs you love on a variety of percussion instruments. Our 4th and 5th grade auditioned members will keep you engaged from beginning to end. They have collaborated with performers from New Zealand, singer Daniel Robledo, and GRAMMY Award Winning Saxophonist Eric Marienthal. They have been invited to perform at the AOSA (American Orff-Schulwerk Association National Conference. They have been an "Invited Ensemble" for the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) Centennial Convention, and have performed around San Antonio at numerous Spurs games, at the Tobin Center and even at the Alamodome. This group continues to impress year after year.
