Welcome to Roan Forest Elementary! I'm excited to begin the 2022-23 school year. This year marks my seventeenth year working in NEISD and ninth year as a principal. In my free time I enjoy spending time at home with my beautiful wife Erin and two boys, Taylor and Sam. 

Every day we strive to create a well-rounded education for your child. At Roan Forest we not only offer exceptional academic/arts programs but also seek to develop the leadership skills and social-emotional wellness of each child. The partnership between school and home is imperative to meet these goals.

¡Bienvenidos a Roan Forest! Estoy emocionado de comenzar el año escolar 2022-23. Este año marca mi decimoséptimo año trabajando en NEISD y el noveno año como director. En mi tiempo libre disfruto pasar tiempo en casa con mi hermosa esposa Erin y dos hijos, Taylor y Sam. Algunos de mis pasatiempos incluyen la caza, la pesca y el golf.

Todos los días nos esforzamos por crear una educación integral para su hijo. En Roan Forest no solo ofrecemos programas académicos / artísticos excepcionales, sino que también buscamos desarrollar las habilidades de liderazgo y el bienestar socioemocional de cada niño. La asociación entre la escuela y el hogar es imperativa para alcanzar estos objetivos.

I am honored to serve as your assistant principal! This is my 14th year with our wonderful district and 3rd year at Roan Forest Elementary. I firmly believe in the diverse educational opportunities that our district has to offer to our students, and I will support you and your children to continue providing them with the best educational environment. 

I was born in Houston, Texas of Mexican parents who inculcated in me that everyone should be proud of their heritage and respect others. Hence, they raised me to become bilingual, biliterate and bicultural. I graduated with my Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas and my Master of Education degree in Administration from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.

My three children are a product of North East ISD and have participated in many district programs, including the dual language program. I am an advocate of the dual language program both as an educator and parent. But first and foremost, I am passionate about the equitable academic experience that our district offers to all our students.

I truly enjoy serving as your assistant principal at Roan Forest and look forward to continuing to collaborate with you to make the 2023-2024 school year the best year possible for our students.

¡Estoy tan feliz de servir como su subdirectora! Este es mi decimotercero año con nuestro maravilloso distrito y segundo año con Roan Forest Elementary. Creo firmemente en la diversidad de oportunidades educativas que el distrito ofrece a nuestros alumnos, y voy a apoyarles tanto a ustedes como a sus hijos para seguir facilitándoles el mejor ambiente educacional.

Nací en Houston, Texas de padres mexicanos que me inculcaron que todos debemos estar orgullosos de nuestras raíces y respetar las de los demás. Por eso, me criaron para que fuera bilingüe y bicultural. Soy licenciada en administración de empresas por la Universidad Internacional A&M en Laredo, Texas y mi maestría de administración en educación es de la universidad Lamar en Beaumont, Texas.

Mis tres hijos son producto de North East ISD y han participado en una gran variedad de programas del distrito, incluyendo el programa dual. Me considero portavoz del programa dual como educadora y madre. Pero, ante todo, me apasiona que nuestro distrito ofrezca a todos nuestros alumnos experiencias académicas equitativas.

Realmente disfruto servir como su subdirectora en Roan Forest y espero poder continuar a colaborar con ustedes para hacer el 2023-2024 año escolar el mejor año posible para nuestros alumnos.
