    Serving Grades Pre-K through 5

In 2008, Roan Forest was awarded the “National Blue Ribbon School Award”. The National Blue Ribbon School program recognizes all schools based on their overall academic excellence.  This award represents all of the hard work that the students, teachers and families have done to make Roan Forest a beacon of exemplary teaching and learning.  Roan Forest continues to be a school of academic excellence.

    Mission

Elementary school is the start of a journey in life and education. Our students are blazing a trail, and we are there to support and encourage them along the way. Our goal is to guide our students academically, socially, and emotionally. We provide a dual language program and a dynamic music program, offering students diversity and new passions. There are more than 22 languages spoken by our diverse community of students. We are a Leader in Me school, giving students valuable building blocks for their education and life. Not everyone learns the same or is looking for the same outcome, so we provide our students with opportunities to blaze their own trail with leadership opportunities inside and outside of the classroom. This path allows students to learn and discover their talents and what makes them unique, ultimately giving them ownership of their journey. Synergize to learn. Live purposefully. Inspire to lead. Love and respect the diversity of all.

    Education Approach

We believe in a 360 degree education that supports the academic and social emotional needs of all of our students. We also provide leadership opportunities inside and outside of the classroom built around the “7 Covey Habits”.

Welcome to the Johnson Cluster in the North East Independent School District. As a Roan Forest Elementary School student, your child will establish a passion, curiosity, and foundation for life-long learning while nurturing their social and emotional skills. Outside of the classroom, your child can embrace what they love or try something new through diverse clubs, programs and organizations.

Your child will discover even more opportunities at Tejeda and Tex Hill Middle School. As their academic foundation expands in the classroom, their circle of friends and experiences will grow through new opportunities in Athletics, Fine Arts, Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, competitive UIL contests, and more.

At Johnson High School, your child will excel academically and socially while embracing beloved Jaguar traditions with memories that will last a lifetime. Your child has the freedom and support to pursue their passions in a variety of nationally recognized programs, organizations, and clubs – from Athletics to JROTC, Band, Dance, PALS, Photography, UIL, and much more.

There’s so much to discover in the Johnson cluster. Thank you for choosing NEISD.
