Hello, Roan Forest families! My name is Michael Peters and I am a Special Education teacher/case manager at Roan Forest Elementary School. This is my fifth year as a teacher overall with all of them at Roan Forest Elementary. My job entails providing in-class support and resource small-group instruction to students across multiple content areas and grade levels. This year I will be working with monolingual kindergarten, and dual-language 4th and 5th grade.

Here is a little bit of background information about myself. I was born on a U.S. military base in Panama City, Panama, and I am a dual-citizen of Panama and the United States. I speak both English and Spanish and I teach in both languages depending on who I am working with. Growing up in a military family meant that I moved around quite a bit, but I've lived in San Antonio for almost 20 years now and consider it to be my hometown.
