Ms. Mary Shaw

Howdy! I am Ms. Shaw and this is my first year teaching Music at Roan Forest. I recently graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education. While this is my first year as a full time teacher at Roan Forest, I have been involved in the campus community since 2022 as a student observer and Student Teacher and I am excited to bring that knowledge of the school and its families to my teaching. My philosophy around music education is that it's purpose is to aid students  in finding their creativity and passions through meaningful experiences in a classroom that is collaborative, safe and fun. Outside my classroom, I love to paint, build miniatures and spend time with my family and my puppy Gizmo.
