Arts Integration

is an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form. Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another subject area and meets evolving objectives in both.

  • Arts Integration Ambassadors

In 2017, NEISD established small cohorts consisting of teachers throughout the district. Currently, we have twenty outstanding members. The Ambassadors are a cohort of members from elementary to high school with the understanding, drive, and experience to integrate the arts within the content. The goal of the cohort is to revitalize our program to dig deeper, activate the learner, and give all students opportunities to showcase their learning in a creative process.

    Our Dedicated Campuses

Dedicated campuses have committed to transformative teaching and learning mindsets, campus-wide. All students are consistently challenged to think of themselves as creatives, to simultaneously practice both critical and creative thinking, and to actively engage in the creative process as they construct and demonstrate knowledge through an art form.
