The 2015 Bond Nimitz Middle School Fine Arts Facility Addition and Renovations Project includes construction of a new fine arts facility addition and selected renovations to the existing campus auditorium. This facility addition will provide for new band and choir program areas, renovations to the existing auditorium, and construction of enclosed air-conditioned corridors to the existing orchestra and theater arts facilities and adjacent main campus building. The project design includes 15,985 sq. ft. of facility improvements to be constructed under a 15-month schedule. Project components include earthwork; site utilities (water, sewer, and storm water); erosion control installation & maintenance; drilled piers with suspended slab foundation; concrete forming and placement; structural steel fabrication and erection; insulation, waterproofing, & roofing; masonry; millwork; carpentry, doors, frames, and hardware; glass, glazing, & storefront wall systems; resilient and resinous flooring, ceramic tile; drywall; ceilings; painting; visual display boards; bathroom toilet partitions and accessories; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and fire protection systems; music practice rooms; data cabling, security, and intrusion detection systems; site drainage; landscape and irrigation work; hardscape and asphalt paving.
