What to expect when you visit an NEISD campus

Safety isn’t convenient.

If you plan to visit your child’s campus this school year, please be patient and prepared.

Visitors should come to the main campus entrance with their ID.

There, you will find a buzzer and a camera.

Press the buzzer and stand on the footprints.

Someone inside the school will then be able to see you, ask questions about why you are wanting access to the campus and then unlock the door.

Once inside, you will need to sign in and present identification that will be scanned and logged.

This protects both the visitor and the students.

If you are going to a classroom or volunteering in another part of the school, you will be issued a visitor’s name tag, so people on campus know you are supposed to be on campus.

If you see something, say something.

It takes all of us to be #NEISDsafe.

Remember, the North East Tip Line ( gives you a safe and confidential way to report a wide variety of safety concerns. You can also call the North East Police Department non-emergency line at 210-407-0925.
