Last call for award nominations

POSTED MARCH 2023

Superintendent's Awards recipientsThink about the people you work with every day, the students you teach and the volunteers on your campus. You can mostly likely name one or more people among them who deserve an award for everything they do. They don’t just do a good job; they far exceed the responsibilities placed on them.

You can help give them a well-deserved and special recognition.

Nominations are currently being accepted for the April 25, 2023 Superintendent’s Awards ceremony. The deadline to submit is March 31.

This ceremony is an opportunity for Dr. Maika to recognize North. East ISD employees, students and volunteers for their exceptional dedication to our District and its mission to support students.

We know that there are amazing, generous and compassionate individuals at each of your campuses and departments. This is your opportunity to shine a light on them and what they do for this District.

TIPS FOR NOMINATIONS:

  1. Visit the Superintendent’s Award webpage for nomination guidelines. https://www.neisd.net/Page/1010
  2. Download a new nomination form, fill out the form completely, and ensure that your director/principal has approved your nomination.
  3. If you are nominating someone from another campus or department, make sure their supervisor/principal is aware of the nomination.
  4. Provide as many details as possible. Don’t just say an employee does a great job. Give examples of why they are great, and why what they do extends beyond their job or volunteer role expectations. (This is by far the most important tip.)
  5. If you are nominating a volunteer, explain what makes him/her an “all-star” volunteer. Tell us what sets them apart from your other volunteers and why they are worthy of special recognition over others.
  6. If you are nominating a group, provide each individual’s name on the form.
  7. Save the form and email it as an attachment to superawards@neisd.net
