Chess Club

Why play Chess?

There are many reasons the game of Chess has been popular for thousands of years.  It is competitive, challenging, thought-provoking, strategic, and utilizes higher-order thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and creativity.  It is also an ideal game to learn critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and it is fun to play.

Chess Club will meet on Thursdays from 4 pm to 5 pm.

Chess Club begins Thursday, September 16th.

These one-hour sessions will enable all members of the club to come together as a group to practice their skills and play tournament-style matches.

Transportation will not be provided.  Please make arrangements to have your student picked up at 5 pm.
