Mrs. Claudia Peña-Martinez
Claudia Peña-Martinez graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2003. This will be her 11th year as an arts educator. Mrs. Peña-Martinez has been happily married for 12 years to her best friend, Ted Martinez. The Martinez' are proud parents of a 4-year-old toddler, 11-month-old baby, and fur baby parents to Autumn, a 12-year-old Pit Bull.
In her spare time, Mrs. Peña-Martinez works as a volunteer and art educator for Spare Parts, whose mission is to advance reuse education through the arts.

NEISD Fine Arts
Fine Arts and Student Activities offers an enriching curriculum including visual arts, theatre, music, dance, cheer, academic UIL, speech, debate, journalism, and outdoor education. In partnership with other academic disciplines, Fine Arts increases academic achievement, social and emotional development, and civic engagement. As a result, students are empowered to use their minds more creatively, inspiring them through diversity in learning to broaden their life experiences.

North East School of Art (NESA)
The North East School of the Arts is a gifted and talented program in the arts, structured as a magnet program on the campus of LEE High School. NESA provides a rigorous academic environment, with a sequential, customized curriculum designed to encourage artistic excellence, integration with multiple arts disciplines, and authentic assessment. NESA students study daily with our unique staff of professional educators who are also working artists with significant training and experience in their individual disciplines. NESA students also participate in master classes and seminars with professional artists, and have multiple opportunities to showcase their talents.
