NEISD celebrates campus leaders during National Principals Month

October is National Principals Month, and North East ISD is celebrating all of the dedicated principals who lead our elementary, middle and high school campuses. National Principals Month is recognized throughout the country with national and state resolutions supporting the event, as well as acknowledgments from U.S. senators, representatives and other government officials.

Governor Greg Abbott issued an official proclamation declaring October 2019 as Principals Month in Texas.

“The most important part of ensuring that young Texans can fulfill the potential of their bright futures is providing our children with a rigorous and well-rounded education,” said Abbott. “Principals are a vital part of our children’s educations as they set the academic tone for their schools by working collaboratively with teachers to build high academic standards, set performance goals, and utilize best practices for achieving those goals.”

Principals are the foundation of success for any campus. They take on the responsibility of hundreds of students, teachers, parents and community stakeholders while addressing discipline issues, managing the campus budget and nurturing relationships. Principals spend so much of their time putting others first, so make some time to thank them before the month is up!
