Colonial Hills students cook with San Antonio Spurs
Three Colonial Hills Elementary School students had the chance to cook with San Antonio Spurs players Ben Moore and Lonnie Walker IV. The students are part of the CHEF (Culinary Health Education for Families) Program and were invited to cook at the Witte Museum’s Teaching Kitchen. The students shared their CHEF program experience with the players, while they talked about the important role nutrition plays in an athlete's performance.
The CHEF Program achieves several healthy objectives including eating breakfast, drinking water, adding fruit and vegetables to their plate and preparing meals at home. Thanks to the Silver & Black Give Back and San Antonio Spurs for giving our NEISD students an unforgettable experience!
