LEE students rise to the Cadet Challenge

JROTC cadets at LEE High School laced up to complete the Cadet Challenge, a mandatory fitness test for all Army JROTC programs. The Cadet Challenge consists of curl-ups, pull-ups or flex arm-hangs, push-ups, a V-sit reach test, a one-mile run, and a shuttle run.

“Our physical fitness we do in the morning has helped us improve our physical fitness and prepared us for this year’s challenge,” said cadet Vanessa Martinez.

Cadets who scored in the 85th percentile will receive the President’s Physical Fitness Award and the JROTC Physical Fitness ribbon. Cadets who scored in the 50th percentile will receive the National Physical Fitness Award and the JROTC Athletic Ribbon.
