The Risk Management and Employee Benefits Department at North East ISD took home the 2018 Healthy Workplace Recognition Program Platinum Award on Friday, Dec. 14. The Healthy Workplace Recognition Program is an initiative of the San Antonio Business Group on Health and the Mayor’s Fitness Council.
The program recognizes local employers for their worksite wellness efforts. Employers are awarded a bronze, silver, gold or platinum-level recognition. Worksite wellness programs are assessed in areas like culture, health promotion and education, physical activity, nutrition, smoking and tobacco cessation and value-based benefits and design.
