Johnson High School’s yearbook, The Citadel, has been recognized as one of the top student publications in the nation. The 2017-2018 yearbook is a finalist for the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Crown Awards. The Citadel is one of just 70 yearbooks from across the country that will be voted on as part of the annual Crown Awards. In all, 1,172 publications were eligible for judging. During Crown consideration, publications are judged on their design, photography, concept, coverage and writing. The winners will be announced in March at Columbia University in New York.
