LEE JROTC visits Jackson-Keller for Red Ribbon Week

Students in the JROTC program at LEE High School kicked off Red Ribbon Week with a trip to Jackson-Keller Elementary School. On Monday, Oct. 22, seven cadets helped pass out ribbons at Jackson-Keller to encourage participation in drug prevention activities. Cadet Esau Martinez says this was an opportunity to help inspire the next generation to stay drug free.

“To inspire one of these kids, I mean they are our future,” said Martinez. “They have many opportunities to engage a good life rather than depend on drugs as a lifestyle.”

The 2018 Red Ribbon Week theme is “Life is your journey, travel drug free.”
