Montgomery Elementary School administrators, teachers, instructional, and support staff took to the streets this week. They were super excited to give a warm “WAMM” welcome back to school to their students. The staff really felt it was important to get out and build relationships with Mustang students and their families by going directly to their homes and letting them know how much we are looking forward to seeing them at school. They also gave families packages with campus and community resource information along with invitations to our Meet the Teacher night.
As it turns out, the Mustang students were equally excited to see the teachers. “I can’t believe you came to my house,” was heard several times as the visits went on. It was great to see kids, receive hugs and see hear about their summer escapades. WAMM Walks the Block was the best way ever to welcome the Mustangs back to school!
