Redland Oaks Learning Luau

This summer Redland Oaks Elementary School is hosting pre-kindergarten to fifth-grade students to a summer Learning Luau. Fun and engaging lessons are taking place in all of their classrooms, but some extra special "FriYAY" STEM lessons are taking place in the fourth-grade schoolrooms. Students eagerly participated, planned collaboratively, and in the end made their own waterslides using recycled materials.

Learning Luau students also experimented with different densities of a variety of detergent types to determine the optimal solution for bubble making during these lessons. Hats off to the fourth grade team which included Ms. Herrera, Ms. Barbatto, Mr. Guerro, and Mr. Rodriguez for facilitating such an engaging and fun “FriYAY” STEM learning experience for our summer school students.
