NEISD wins big at 2025 San Antonio Mayor's Cyber Cup
North East ISD students stole the show once again at the 2025 San Antonio Mayor’s Cyber Cup.
Johnson High School, Roosevelt High School and our Space and Engineering Technology Academy (SETA) at Krueger Middle School picked up major awards during the ceremony at the Boeing Center at Port San Antonio on Saturday, March 1.
More than 350 teams competed this year, and of that count NEISD fielded 71 of those teams! This is truly a testament to the strength of our cybersecurity programs.
Johnson was the overall Mayor’s Cup winner and will advance to the CyberPatriot XVII National Finals Competition in the Open Division. They’re one of just 12 teams competing in the category at nationals.
Roosevelt finished as the All-Service winner and will also advance to compete in the CyberPatriot XVII National Finals Competition. They are currently ranked 1st overall national in the All-Service division. They’re one of 13 teams competing in this category at nationals.
Both teams earned a coveted leather bomber jacket, a $60,000 scholarship offer from St. Mary’s, $1,000 in scholarship money, a four-year internship with Booz, Allen, Hamilton and a free CompTIA test voucher for any test they choose to take.
SETA at Krueger also picked up two awards, finishing as the overall Middle School winner and the Middle School All-Girls winner.
The Mayor’s Cyber Cup recognizes San Antonio-area high school and middle school CyberPatriot teams who have excelled during the school year. It is hosted by the CyberTexas Foundation.
Congratulations to all of our winners!
