A huge thank you to the North East ISD Family Engagement team who worked hard to make the first San Antonio Food Bank Distribution event of the school year a huge success!
We couldn’t have done it without the students and staff who volunteered to help pack boxes and load groceries into cars at Legacy of Educational Excellence (LEE) High School. Families left with pork chops, cheese, carrots, hash browns, canned goods and more.
Community events like this don’t happen without great teamwork and collaboration between NEISD Family Specialists. When students, staff and community partners come together, it serves a greater purpose that makes a true difference in our community.
“It’s a blessing to be able to provide for our community like this,” said LEE Family Specialist Melissa Castillo-Cerda. “I love seeing the kids get involved in giving back.”
