NEISD teachers recognized by Tobin Center

Teaching doesn’t always look the same.

At North East ISD, teaching can look like all sorts of things.

Some teachers may use music to reinforce math lessons or art to help make a history lesson come alive.

Arts integration has become an integral part of teaching in the District.

So, in 2016, NEISD partnered with the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts to expand how the arts are integrated into the classroom.

On June 2, Tobin Center Board member, Rick Cavender, celebrated the partnership with NEISD teachers who have made it their mission to integrate the arts into their classrooms.

While all NEISD clusters were represented, Camelot Elementary, Castle Hills Elementary and the Pre-K Academy at West Avenue were recognized as Dedicated Campuses that have fully implemented the Arts Integration process to support student learning.
