NEISD students named to TMEA All-State Ensembles

Forty-eight North East ISD students have been named to a Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Ensemble. This is the highest honor a Texas music student can achieve. More than 60,000 students from across the state began their audition process in the Fall of 2018. Only 1,700 students would eventually earn a chair in one of 15 TMEA All-State Ensembles, with 48 band, choir, and orchestra students coming from NEISD. Of the 48 students, 28 are band students, 12 are in the choir and eight are in the orchestra.

These exemplary NEISD students will experience three days of intense rehearsal with nationally recognized conductors, followed by a concert in which thousands will attend. The success of our music students is due, primarily, to the hard work and dedication of NEISD Music Educators and the strong programs they provide. Thank you to our directors for inspiring our students to achieve greatness through hard work and dedication.
