Over 300 NEISD PALS attended Summer Training
Over 300 NEISD high school students were selected to be members of the 2019-2020 Peers Assistant Leadership and Service (PALS) program. The PALS students and teachers attended a 2-day summer training at Mo Ranch in Hunt TX. This training included creating PALS norms, participating in experiential learning activities, learning how to support others through grief, loss, and life’s obstacles, gaining knowledge about how to mentor others, developing skills to become balanced leaders, and engaging in team building activities with the other high school PALS students from across the district. The 2 days were full of training, learning, growth, and fun. According to our PALS students, the summer training is one of the highlights of their school career.
