This isn't your ordinary elementary school garden. It's 12 raised garden beds and two table beds that are ideally designed for all students. Plus, the Verizon grant will fund the purchase and installation of a rain collection cistern, solar-powered pumps and a drip irrigation system to distribute rainwater collected from the school's roof.

There can never be enough equipment that encourages and aids students to be physically fit. Equipment purchased by the Health and Wellness Community Grant from Wal-Mart will be used during the day and during community events afterschool at Colonial Hills Elementary School.
