Hello! My name is Luz Leon and I am extremely excited to be a part of Jackson-Keller Elementary School as a Fifth Grade Dual Language Teacher.

     I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, so I attended Texas A&M University-San Antonio to prepare myself to be able to provide students with all the tools they need to be successful in life. I am a product of NEISD; I grew up in schools that nurtured me, pushed me to always give my best, and empowered me to achieve my dreams, so there was no doubt when deciding that this was the district I wanted to carry out my career in.

    I pride myself greatly with my job. Working with students who speak two languages fluently is amazing and rewarding. I have very high expectations of my students, speaking two languages is already a great talent, and I know they are capable of doing so much more. I am very excited for this year and to work hand in hand with you all as we have the same end in mind; to see the success of each student and to see them go on to bigger and better things.
