Ms. Kara Vermeulen

Hello, and Welcome to my page!

 My name is Ms. Vermeulen and I am excited to be a part of the Jackson-Keller Family.  Ms. Vermeulen has been teaching for about 11 years.  I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with my Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6th.  I have taught many different grade levels in the charter network and have recently joined NEISD.  I have been with NEISD for almost a year now and have been enjoying it very much.  I have lived in San Antonio, Texas most of my life but also grew up as a military child and lived in 5 different states growing up.  I love to travel and workout.  I love to be outdoors and go hiking.  I have a son named Jace. He loves to play baseball, which makes me a huge baseball fan!  I have always loved being a teacher.  The joy I see when my students are learning is always an amazing feeling.  I love to bring fun and excitement to the classroom.  I see myself as a creative and resourceful teacher that brings fun to the classroom.
