Greetings Coyotes and parents! This is my first year at Canyon Ridge Elementary and I am very excited to be a Coyote!
I have 7 years teaching experience and over 13 in education altogether. I taught general education for 5 years, but my heart kept calling me to special education. In 2021, I went back to get my certification in Special Education and in 2022, accepted my first position as a special education resource/inclusion teacher. I have enjoyed the past two years I have spent in special education getting to guide young minds through the challenges they face and celebrate their successes, no matter how small!
I graduated from Texas Tech University with my bachelor's in Multidisciplinary Studies EC – 6th and I have my certifications in EC-6th General Education, English as a Second Language (ESL), and EC-12th Special Education.
Some things I love to do in my free time are spending time with my husband and our fur baby, Karma (American Short hair: cat), taking care of my succulents/plants, and visiting with friends and family.
