Degrees and Certifications:

BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood Education

Mrs. Liz Cheslock

My name is Liz Cheslock and I attended all North East Schools while growing up. I graduated from Churchill High School and went to Southwest Texas State (now Texas State University) where I graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. I began my teaching career at Encino Park and this is now my 27th year here.  I have taught first grade for 25 years and 1 year in both fifth and fourth grades as well.  I am the head of our school technology committee and I love using tech throughout the day in my classroom!

My husband and I celebrated our 21st anniversary this past summer. We have one son. His name is Charlie and  will be in 7th grade at Tejeda.   We love walking at the parks, playing with our dog, and exploring new places.  In addition to our two-legged family members, we also have one of the 4-legged variety!  We have a sweet dog we rescued that is a black mixed breed named Smudge.  She is Charlie’s best buddy.  We also like to foster and volunteer for the Animal Defense League and Animal Care Services.  We love animals!

Mr. Cheslock and I love to watch college football (go Longhorns!).  We like to try new restaurants as well as going to our favorites (Alamo Cafe and Saltgrass) and enjoy spending time with family and friends.
I have always wanted to be a teacher and I’m blessed to be able to do what I love every day.  My family has 12 teachers in it! I am looking forward to working with you!
