About Peer Mediation

NEISD Peer Mediators are trained by Amigos in Mediation (AIM) Peer Mediation Program. AIM teaches students to resolve disputes and conflicts in a non-violent manner. The AIM Program helps schools establish their own self-sustaining peer mediation program designed to improve the conflict resolution skills of students, reduce the number of school disciplinary incidents, and create a more positive school environment. The AIM Program, the primary peer mediation training program for Bexar County schools, is a service provided by the Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center and is proudly supported by the San Antonio Bar Foundation.  http://www.bexar.org/AIM
