Welcome to the new school year!  I am excited about beginning my second year here at Roan Forest.  I have been an educator for 16 years, servicing students in a bilingual setting, including immersion and dual language models in several districts around Texas. I acquired my BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from UTSA and an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from Grand Canyon University. I have 2 wonderful daughters who have been great motivators in my life. I have recently moved back home to San Antonio and have been warmly welcomed by this beautiful community of highly prestigious educators and parents.

I am so blessed to be a TrailBlazer once again for the 2023-2024 school year as a 4th grade dual language teacher. I’m looking forward to beginning my 17th year here with your children, our future leaders.  My goal is to inspire every student to be self-driven and have a passion for learning.  I believe that every student has special attributes about them that need to be discovered. Together with your help, I plan to have a successful year discovering and accomplishing this goal.

Hola maravillosos padres de Roan Forest. Estoy tan emocionada al continuar mi segundo año en Roan Forest. He sido educadora durante 16 años, sirviendo a estudiantes en un entorno bilingüe que incluye modelos de inmersión y lenguaje dual en varios distritos de Texas. Obtuve mi licenciatura en estudios interdisciplinarios de UTSA y una maestría en enseñanza de inglés como segundo idioma de la Universidad de Grand Canyon. Tengo 2 hijas maravillosas que han sido grandes motivadoras en mi vida. Recientemente, me mudé de vuelta a casa en San Antonio y esta hermosa comunidad de educadores y padres de gran prestigio me ha dado una bienvenida extraordinaria.

Estoy tan bendecida de unirme a Roan Forest Trail Blazers una vez más para el año escolar 2023-2024 como maestra bilingüe de cuarto grado. Tengo muchas ganas de comenzar mi decimoséptimo año aquí con sus hijos, nuestros futuros líderes. Mi objetivo es inspirar a cada estudiante a ser autónomo y tener pasión por el aprendizaje. Creo que cada estudiante tiene atributos especiales sobre ellos que necesitan ser descubiertos. Junto con su ayuda, planeo tener un año exitoso descubriendo y logrando esta meta.
