What is BYOD?
It's a new program to NEISD that allows teachers and students to bring their personal devices from home (laptop, iPad, Smartphone, Chromebook) and access the NEISD Network. Keep in mind this is different from accessing the Guest Network. The Guest network is much slower and has tighter restrictions on what can be accessed.
Students/Teachers can login to the NEISD WiFi using their Active Directory Credentials.
Students will NOT be able to authenticate into District resources such as Classlink Launchpad, Zoom, Google Classroom, or Seesaw when connected to the Guest Network. District devices will automatically connect to the appropriate NEISD WiFi. Students must use the BYOD connection instructions below for their personal devices in order to get on the NEISD WiFi as well. All devices must connect to a 5 Ghz WiFi connection as well as support 802.1x.
