National PTA’s Reflections program has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. The theme for the 2019-2020 program year is Look Within. Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.

The contest opens January 7, 2019 and goes through March 18, 2019.
53 students will be named winners from their state/territory. Five finalists will be flown to Google's Mountain View headquarters, and one winning student from among the five will receive:

Conjunto Music - Traditional music born in South Texas whose main instruments include the button accordian, bajo sexto, bass and drums. All the instruments do not need to be represented in the artwork but keep in mind that we are looking for a colorful, creative interpretation of Conjunto music.
Research images of past Conjunto festivals online or on the Festival's Facebook page. Note that Conjunto music does not include ballet folklorico dancers, flamenco skirts, or mariachis. Entries featuring an incorrect musical genre will be disqualified. Attention to detail is highly encouraged particularly when it comes to fashion including hats, boots, jeans, and shoes. Even the wrong type of cactus can make a difference. Look up South Texas and San Antonio environments for imagery of local floral and fauna. View other winning entries found on the website to ensure your entry does not resemble a previous winner's imagery. Also, be sure to create a vertical image, not horizontal.
