Mrs. Hakes

Hello!! This is my second year teaching kindergarten and I love it.  Prior to becoming an official teacher, I was a Pre-K assistant. 

I am originally from Tyler, Texas, and moved here to San Antonio 15 years ago. My husband David and I have 5 kids who attend schools in the Johnson cluster. We love spending time together!! In my free time, you will find me at a variety of sporting and school events supporting my kiddos. I love watching them progress and develop as individuals. 

I believe in cultivating a fun, engaging classroom where my students feel safe and confident. I believe in working hard each day, learning from each other, and growing as both a person and a student! Teaching and loving with my whole heart each day is what I do best. I love a shared learning space where we can grow together as a class family.  This year we will learn to see the goodness in ourselves and appreciate what everyone can contribute.

9:30-10:20 - WIN 

10:20-10:54 - Reading

10:54-11:24 - Lunch

11:24-11:45- ELAR small group

11:45-12:10 - Writing

12:10-1:10 - Math

1:10-1:30 - Recess

1:30-2:30 - Science & Social Studies
