I am so thrilled to be part of the CG 4th grade team.  This is my 9th year teaching.  Previously, I taught gifted and talented K-5 in Comal ISD and in Colorado.  I also taught virtually for grades K-5 for Colorado Virtual Academy before most people knew what online school was!

I am a native of Colorado, who attended college in Texas, at Southwestern Assemblies of God University.  I met my native Texan husband there at SAGU.  We spent many years living in Colorado, where we had our 3 children.  They are now 15, 13, and 8 years old. In 2016 we moved to San Antonio and have loved making our home here.  So much so, we moved my parents from Colorado when they retired in 2019 and they also live with us.  We have a beautiful sheepadoodle dog, Lady Bird who joined our family last Christmas. 

We love to travel and have what we call Ammons Adventures.  We are always searching for an opportunity to take a cruise, or explore a new city.  I love learning, particularly about the brain, other cultures, and history.  I am a nerd at heart and love to see students embrace a love for learning as well.  I have lots of crazy stories I've lived or experienced and value the qualities of good storytelling!  I'm looking forward to an amazing year, being part of this dream team of 4th grade!
