Mrs. Christina Mandell-Williams
Hello! My name is Christina Williams and I am so excited for the next school year! It will be my fourth year at Cibolo Green ES and I absolutely love what I do. Each year brings a different, special group of students that becomes a small classroom family. A little about me- I am originally from Northern California but have also lived in New Mexico and moved back to Texas after graduating from NMSU. I received my Bachelor's Degree from UTSA in 2010 with a focus on Anthropology and Women's Studies. I later sought a Master's Degree in the same fields as well as Museum Studies at New Mexico State University, graduating in December 2012. I have a beautiful family which I am so grateful for! My husband Mark, stepdaughter Brooklynn and my son River (and Mini Aussie Max!) are my world.
This school year is going to be great! There will be much to explore: the wonderful world of phonics, reading and writing, math skills, science and social studies and so much more. We will spend time building relationships and learning how to syngerize together; classroom activities will consist of group meetings, whole class discussions, small group sessions and rotating station time. This year the students will be utilizing our new S.T.E.A.M. lab as a part of our Enrichment curriculum as well!
As a teacher, I would like all my parents to know that I am all about communication. I understand how important your child's experience in first grade will be for them (as well as you!) and to ensure a successful year I partner with parents to help their child reach their goals. I utilize Class Dojo as both an incentive tool and communication platform, and encourage parents to email me with any concerns or questions.
Best wishes for a wonderful school year!!
