Mrs. Christina Mandell-Williams
Hello! My name is Christina Williams and I am so excited to be your teacher this school year! It will be my fifth year at Cibolo Green ES and I absolutely love what I do! Each year brings a different, special group of students that becomes a small classroom family. A little about me- I am originally from Northern California but have also lived in New Mexico and moved back to Texas after graduating from NMSU. I received my Bachelor's Degree from UTSA in 2010 with a focus on Anthropology and Women's Studies. I later sought a Master's Degree in the same fields as well as Museum Studies at New Mexico State University, graduating in December 2012. I have a beautiful family which I am so grateful for! My husband Mark, stepdaughter Brooklynn and my son River (and Mini Aussie Max!) are my world.
This school year is going to be great! There will be much to explore: the wonderful world of phonics, reading and writing, math skills, science and social studies and so much more. We will spend time building relationships and learning how to syngerize together; classroom activities will consist of group meetings, whole class discussions, small group sessions and rotating station time. Whether learning online, in the classroom or a blend of both, I assure you we will have so much fun learning together!
As a teacher, I would like all my parents to know that I am all about communication. I understand how important your child's experience in first grade will be for them (as well as you!) and to ensure a successful year I partner with parents to help their child reach their goals. We will be utilizing Seesaw as our primary learning and communication platform, and I encourage parents to email me with any concerns or questions. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have, and I will do my best to respond as quickly as possible.
Best wishes for a wonderful school year!!
