I was born in San Antonio, but lived my first thirteen years of my childhood in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We moved here in 1983 and from then on I went to schools in NEISD. I graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. I received my bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-4, from the University of Texas of San Antonio.
     I love children and am blessed to be in a career I absolutely love going to every day. I am excited about starting another new school year at Cibolo Green Elementary School. This will be my seventh year teaching kindergarten, after teaching second grade for three years and third grade for eight years.  I worked in special education for five years in NEISD before getting my degree in elementary education. 
     I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have two sons, Traye Jr. and Trevor. Our oldest son, Traye, is married to my beautiful daughter-in-law, Mary, and they have two children. Traye III, my grandson, is in fourth grade this year, and my granddaughter Penelope is in kindergarten. Our youngest son, Trevor, is a firefighter with SAFD. He married his high school sweetheart Emily and they have one daughter, Hayden, who will be turning two this year. Our grandchildren are a wonderful blessing to our family, and my husband and I enjoy spending as much time as we can with them. We are beyond blessed! 

     I love dogs, collecting turtles/tortoise figurines. I love the outdoors and DIY projects. I love spending time with my family and I look forward to another fantastic year of teaching and working with children who become part of my family and my heart forever!
