How many books can my child check-out at the library?

Pre-K and Kindergarten students will check out 1 book for 1 week.  

First grade students will check out 2 books for 1 week.

Second grade students will check out 2 books for 1 week and are highty encouraged to have at least one book that they can read on their own including beginning chapter books. Students may renew books one time. 

Third grade students will check out 2 itemes for 1 week that may include 1 magazine. In January students will be allowed to check out 3 items that may include 1 magazine.

Fourth, and Fifth grade students are able to check out up to 3 materials at a time for 2 weeks at a time.  One of those materials may include a magazine. Students are highly encouraged to choose 1 book that they will be able to take home as part of their daily reading log or journal for their teacher's homework requirement.  

Students may not have more than 1 current Bluebonnet Award nominated title , Graphic Novel, or popular series book at a time.  For example, Magic Tree House #5 and #6
