Hello and welcome to my teacher's page! This is my 24th year at Encino Park and my 30th in education. I started my career working for the special education department at Judson ISD while I put myself through college at night. I graduated from UTSA with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a specialization in reading. I am also the founder of the Encino Park Boys to Men Club. This is a club for boys, grades 4-5. I'm very fortunate to be assisted by Mr. Michael Ytuarte (1st grade teacher). We build relationships, discuss leadership, self-confidence, compassion, service and what it means to be a gentleman. 

In 2019, I was honored to be chosen as NEISD Teacher of the Year as well as the Encino Park Elementary Teacher of the Year. I was also chosen as the Credit Human Kens 5 Excel Winner for December of 2018.

I married my high school sweetheart after 11 years of dating (I tend to procrastinate) and have been married for 26 years. We have two beautiful daughters, ages 22 and 19, both in college. I love teaching very much and absolutely consider it to be my calling.
