Students from Legacy of Educational Excellence (LEE) High School and the International School of the Americas (ISA) stopped by Jackson Middle School recently to celebrate Chinese New Year with sixth through eighth-grade students in the Kids Involvement Network (KIN) program.

The students got to learn about the traditional Lion Dance. They also taught them numbers 1-10 and played a numbers game.

It was a great way to share cultures and allow the younger students to see the opportunities they can take advantage of when they get to high school.

Chinese New Year starts on Feb. 10 and is generally celebrated for 15 days, ending in the Lantern Festival.
